Accommodation

Our apartment and B&B rooms are on the first floor and enjoy stunning views of surrounding hills and villages. They are newly renovated but retain the original terracotta flooring and are comfortably furnished with large double beds and country style furniture.

Casa Montalto is a grand farmhouse built in 1931 and is surrounded by farmland, vines and olive trees. This is rural Italy and unspoilt by tourism and over commercialism. However you’re not isolated as Montalto village has everything you need in the form of small family run shops and bars, services such as doctors and pharmacy as well as a splendid cathedral and charming old town.

Our Apartment
Original 1930’s double door leads you into a central living room. High ceilings throughout and tall shuttered windows give a light and airy feel to the apartment which opens onto a large balcony with table and chairs and sunlounger.

Directly off the living room is a spacious bedroom with large double bed and ceiling fan. The room can easily accommodate an extra bed and/or cot, depending on your requirements. There are two windows, one overlooking countryside with the Sibilini Mountains in the distance, the other looking towards the sea and hill top villages.

Also off the living room is a kitchen/dining room with fitted cabinets, cooker with extractor fan, microwave and a fridge freezer. A range of crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils are supplied. There is a high chair available.

The bathroom is spacious enough for a family with a bath and shower. Towels and bed linen provided and normally changed on a weekly basis.

Our B&B rooms
(Can be rented with the apartment as extra bedroom/s)

Both rooms have shuttered windows, ceiling fans and ensuite bathrooms with shower. One is a double room with balcony, from which on a clear day you can see the sea between the distant hills. The other room has a large double bed and a single bed.

Cots and fold down beds are available on request.

Outdoors
There is a large garden area with terraces, dining areas, sunloungers,Hammocks, BBQ, lawn and play area. Our pool is a small (15ft/4.5m diameter) free standing one, great to cool off in and for children.

We grow our own vegetables and have many fruit and nut trees, including several varieties of fig, cherry, peach, almond and walnut. You’re welcome to try any produce in season! A freshly picked ripe fig warmed by the sun is a real treat. The surrounding land is ours and you’re free to wander. There are many wild flowers and herbs to discover and the wild life includes small lizards and kestrels, which normally nest in our ruin, a short stroll from the main house.
